ABOUT THE FIRM

A 1971 graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, Mr. Jacobs established his law practice in New Jersey after earning his J.D. degree from Rutgers University School of Law in 1978. Before entering private practice, he served as Law Secretary to three New Jersey Superior Court judges.

Mr. Jacobs is a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars, as well as the Mercer County Bar Association.

In addition, he is an active member of the Mercer County Estate Planning Council, the Princeton Area Planned Giving Council and the Princeton Trusts and Estates Study Group. He is also a member of the Mercer County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education, Civil Bench Bar and Community Projects Committees, as well as the Board of Trustees of the Mercer County Bar Foundation.

Mr. Jacobs’ areas of concentration are Probate and Trust Law, Estate and Business Succession Planning, Probate and Fiduciary Litigation, Elder Law and Commercial and Real Estate Transactions. He has been a frequent lecturer on these topics and has published numerous articles about them. He has also presented a series of radio broadcasts on the subject of Elder Law and has offered dozens of continuing professional education seminars to attorneys and financial planners, including an annual CLE presentation to members of the Mercer County Bar Association on topics of interest in the trusts and estates field. Most recently, he was a presenter at the Mercer County Bar Association’s “Xtreme CLE” continuing legal education program, attended by attorneys throughout the State of New Jersey, and has been selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in American Law.

Among his community related activities are memberships on the Boards of Trustees of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Rutgers Preparatory School. When not practicing law, he is an avid bicyclist.
